Make an interface and stick to it, please! It’s an annoying behavior amongst all software developers. It’s not only Blender developers who has this bad and annoying habit. Not to mess around with the old features. When I download an update, which I rarely do exactly because of this “annoying software developer behavior of changing everything” I kind of like to expect things to work exactly as in previous versions, just with improved performance and new features. Why can’t you just make an interface, and then stick with your choices? always change from one Blender version to the next. Since later versions, this has been changed so that you need to select the objects in a different way (in the outliner) for the knife cut projection to work.Īlso, Edge Slide doesn’t slide, I suppose there’s some new hotkey I need to be aware of…īut the fact of the matter is, it is really, REALLY annoying that the interface, keymapping etc. Why do you software developers feel the need to mess around with hot keys/interface/keymapping when you update the software?Īs an example, in Blender 2.93 and before, you could select your mesh then select a knife cut object, press TAB and use knife project. This applies to the Blender Developers as well:
